Hi, I’m Neil.
I am a triple amputee, missing both legs below the knees and a partial hand. If you think the most interesting thing about me is that I am an amputee, then you have a lot to learn, so I’m glad you’re here!
I am also a bestselling author, a father, a retired rescue operator, Behcet’s Disease survivor, and a sponsored Gracie Jiu-Jitsu blue belt. When I’m not writing my next great book I am travelling the country, speaking to groups, sharing my inspirational story, and of course training some beast mode Jiu-Jitsu!
So now I have to ask, just as it says above –Why are you here?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad you decided to stop by, but now that you are here, where do you want to go and more importantly:
How can I help you?
Because know this, I do want to help you in any way I can. I’m not a doctor or therapist, but I am a survivor who has thrived despite all I have been through and am always willing to share my story.
I write bestselling fiction and non fiction designed to inspire and entertain as well as the occasional article for amputee and Jiu-Jitsu sites.
As a Nubability Athletics coach I share Adaptive Bully Proof and grappling concepts to limb different kids to keep them competitive against fully limbed opponents, as well as share my Adaptive BJJ at martial arts schools and academies wherever I go.
I share my story of tragedy and triumph against Behcet’s Disease and multiple limb loss with amputee groups, medical and healthcare student groups, as well as motivational speaking for events. I have shared my stories in the classroom, hospitals, rehab programs, churches, drug/alcohol abuse programs, and even in correctional facilities.
Please contact me if you would like me to share my story at your group or event, or would like an Adaptive Jiu-Jitsu and self defense session. You can always check out my books on Amazon and other online outlets, or go find more about my Adaptive BJJ journey.
